EMDR therapy in Gilbert, Arizona

For the ones who’ve already tried β€œjust talking about it” β€” and still feel stuck

  • β€œI don’t want to drag this out over months. I’m ready now.”

    Let’s go deeper, faster.

  • β€œI’m so done circling the same patterns.”

    Let’s break the cycle.

  • β€œI’m tired of managing it. I want to actually heal it.”

EMDR intensives give you the space to do just that.

  • β€œI’ve talked about it. I’ve journaled it. I’m ready to actually move through it.”

Book an EMDR intensive and let’s go deeper.

You’ve done the work...

kind of.

You’ve journaled. You’ve therapized. You know your triggers, your childhood wounds, your attachment styleβ€”and still, you’re spiraling at 2AM because someone didn’t text you back.

You can explain the why behind everything... but your body still acts like you’re in the middle of a fire drill.

You’re tired of insight without relief.
You don’t want to keep rehashing the same pain.
You want to actually feel betterβ€”not just talk about feeling better.

Cue EMDRβ€”because overthinking is not a healing strategy.

You’ve said it. Analyzed it. Cried about it.
Now let’s clear it.

 EMDR FAQs

  • EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, but let’s be realβ€”it’s less about the fancy name and more about helping your nervous system stop freaking out over things that happened years ago.

EMDR helps your brain and body finally process the old stuff it’s been clutching for dear lifeβ€”without having to retell your trauma in full detail.

You don’t have to cry on command. You don’t have to perfectly explain what happened.
You just have to show up, and we’ll do the rest together.

  • When something overwhelms youβ€”like trauma, emotional neglect, or that moment in 7th grade that still haunts youβ€”your brain sometimes files it away like it’s still happening.

That’s why your body goes into full fight-flight-freeze when someone uses that tone or you get a β€œcan we talk?” text.

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (like eye movements, tapping, or sounds) to help your brain:

    • Revisit the stuck memory

    • Reprocess it with support

    • Finally store it in the β€œno longer a threat” folder

It’s not woo. It’s not hypnosis. It’s legit brain scienceβ€”and it works.

  • You don’t need a big T trauma to benefit from EMDR.
If you feel like your body is always bracing, or your brain won’t shut up, this is for you.

    EMDR can help with:

    • Childhood trauma

    • Emotional neglect

    • People-pleasing and perfectionism

    • Anxious attachment and overthinking

    • Hyper-independence (ahem)

    • Guilt, shame, and that constant β€œI’m not doing enough” feeling

    • Panic, phobias, or being stuck in go-mode all the time

    • Religious or medical trauma

Basically, if you’ve ever thought β€œwhy am I like this?”—EMDR is worth exploring.

  • EMDR sessions are private-pay only and not typically covered by insurance. However, I can provide a superbill if you’d like to submit for potential reimbursement.

  • Start with a free 15-minute consult to see if this is the right fit. From there, we’ll talk goals, availability, and get your sessions scheduled.

Let’s keep it real: most people walk out of EMDR like,
β€œWait… I don’t feel that tightness in my chest anymore.”
β€œIt’s like the memory’s still there, but it doesn’t hurt the same way.”
β€œI finally feel calm... like, for real calm.”
You don’t forget what happened. You just stop reliving it like it’s still happening.

You get to respond instead of react.
You get to feel safe in your body again.

What Clients Say After EMDR

If Talk Therapy Hasn’t Helped, You’re Not the Problem

A lot of my clients have said things like:
  • β€œI’ve been in therapy for years but still feel stuck.”
  • β€œI understand my trauma, I just can’t get past it.”
  • β€œI know it wasn’t my fault, but it still feels like it was.”
That’s because trauma lives in the body, not just the brain.

EMDR helps you stop intellectualizing your pain and start actually healing it. Less thinking. More feeling through.
